« In the autumn of 2002 Mami Chan Band had a week long residence in Maurepas, a suburb of Paris - 4 days writing songs in a theatre, and a show on the Friday. We wrote/ arranged quite a few songs there that eventually appeared on the MCB album No Mort (no more – maure pas – get it?) Smokestains was one that escaped the net. So here it is 18 years later.
